The BBC are running a story under the headline, “Middle-aged targeted in Change4Life health campaign“.
The report says that people in the 45 – 65 age group
are to be urged to downsize their plates and dance to the radio as part of the government-backed Change4Life advertising campaign.
That age group probably encompasses most of the people I know, including me and my siblings, so I was amused when the story went on to say:
The campaign has come in for criticism, but the government claims one million mothers have sought to change their families’ lifestyles in the last year.
One million mothers? I’m only surprised the figure is so low. From what I’ve seen, even when you’re middle-aged, most mothers still think you could do better, work harder, earn more, drink less…
I’d honestly be surprised if anyone in the 45+ age group hasn’t thought of altering their families life style.
Or in the 45- category actually…
