The issue of foreigners in the UK is one that is almost guaranteed to set Brits arguing.
If the subject crops up during a social gathering, perhaps the best that can be hoped for is that most British of compromises “we’ll agree to differ” – an unsatisfactory acknowledgment that there are no easy answers.
The photo, taken in the local housewares store, suggests that one reason answers are difficult is that we haven’t agreed on what the question is: do we want foreign visitors to adapt, or do we want to get rid of them all together?
I think everybody whose ancestors originated outside the UK should be deported, leaving the UK to be enjoyed by about ten people, who might like to paint their faces blue. Foreign animals and plants should be kicked out as well, leaving the fields and pastures of the UK to be enjoyed by mosses, voles, and whatever ingredients are required to paint one’s face blue.

Unless life spontaneously erupted here, I think your suggestion means all of us would be required to leave. I guess we could go forth and try and jump start the Empire, but we might not be popular.
