Early morning mist over pond

It was cold this morning. Cold and misty.

When I went out, it was into a world in sepia.

The sun was trying to break through, but the way ahead was unclear, and, to be honest, the sign posts weren’t particularly helpful.

It was the sort of morning when the plants put on their winter finery, complete with fur trimmings.

Although we’re not yet half-way though November, it seemed as if we were well into winter. Even the spiders had put up their Christmas decorations.

But the sun did come out briefly and burn off the mist. And, anyway, I found some bright lanterns to light my way.
