fats and figures

A story in the Metro caught my eye today:

Metro headline: UK is the fattest nation in Europe

One paragraph in particular leapt out:

Tam Fry, of the National Obesity Forum, said: ‘What we desperately need now is a properly worked out plan which will start to reduce this enormous problem that we have got. The cost is going to be so huge if the figures are not reduced.’

I think what he meant to say was, “what we desperately need now is a proper work out plan that will help these enormous people reduce their huge figures.”
